Temporal fossa
Boundaries :
Above, anteriorly & posteriorly: temporal lines ( parietal + frontal bones).
Below : infratemporal crest of the sphenoid bone.
Anteriorly : frontal process of maxilla.
Temporalis m.:
-Origin: floor of the temporal fossa..
-Insertion: coronoid process of the mandible.
Anterior border of mandibular ramus.
-Nerve supply: ant. & post. Deep temporal branches from ant. division of mandibular n.
Infratemporal fossa

Boundaries :
Anteriorly: post. aspect of maxilla.
Medially : lateral plate of pterygoid process.
Laterally : ramus of mandible.
Roof : floor of middle cranial fossa greater wing of sphenoid & squamous temporal to the infratemporal crest.
